March on Washington to End the War in Iraq

Washington, DC

Braving the vicissitudes of Route 95 and Amtrak, the RMO mobilized to travel to D.C. and participate, along with 150,000 to 250,000 other activists, in a massive anti-war rally.  We started off by leading a feeder march (sponsored by Mobilization for Global Justice) to protest the policies of the World Bank and International Monetary Fund (IMF), held to coincide with the fall meetings of the World Bank and IMF, which were happening on the same weekend. After joining up with the main march, we headed to Pennsylvania Avenue, where we had the pleasure of leading a huge crowd in flipping off the white house.
