A28 Nationwide Impeachment Actions
The Rude Mechanical Orchestra will lead a springtime dance party at the Slocum Memorial Fountain in Tompkins Square Park to ask passersby to write letters to Congress demanding the impeachment of George Bush and Dick Cheney. We will use the letters to spell out IMPEACH on a giant banner and then send the letters off to Congress along with photos of the event. Come be a part of history, have a positive impact on our country, and have some fun with us! (And if you don’t know who your Rep is, please look them up before joining us– you can do so at www.house.gov.)
About A28:
George Bush and Dick Cheney have lied the nation into a war of aggression, are spying in open violation of the law, and have sanctioned the use of torture. These are high crimes and misdemeanors that demand accountability. Since Congress doesn’t seem to get it, on April 28 Americans from Miami, Florida to North Pole, Alaska are going to spell it out for them: IMPEACH!
