“Develop Don’t Destroy” community rally against the Ratner development

A small group of RMOers joined Reverend Billy (again?) and a sizable crowd all to support equitable use of space in Brooklyn. After performing for the rally, we marched through Prospect Park and its surrounding neighborhood, distributing information regarding the issue. Then we had ice cream.

One Night of Fire

As a follow up to last summer’s insanely fun First Warm Night, many
collectives and art groups are putting together this season’s edition.
Details are closely guarded and will be released the night before. The
RMO may be there, wink wink. Be ready for surprises: Here’s what one
organizer has to say:

The streets, the night, the trains, the massive surprise.
Saturday, July 15th at sunset.

Times Up! and Rude Mechanical Orchestra Fundraiser

Environmental action never sounded so good! Two long-time allies
teamed up for an evening of rocking out and raising money for the good fight. NYC’s punk rock radical marching band the Rude Mechanical
Orchestra led an evening of music that included The Monkeyshine 9, Heavy Creatures, Quick Release and Phil Not Bombs. Each band included at least one member of the RMO, so you know it was good. Also featuring DJ
Suggested D’s dance floor madness and the infamous blender bike.
